That is still happening. Right now. Today.

The speed and urgency of the world you are living in is not an accident. It is a strategy. A strategy that uses your body — your beautiful, wise, exhausted body — as a mode of production.

And if you literally never stop, you begin to believe that is all you are here for.

You are not here to be a machine for capitalism.

You are here to be human. Fully, messily, gloriously human. And that requires rest. Not as a treat. Not when everything is done. Not when you earn it.

Now. Regularly. In community. As a practice of resistance.

  • Wake up to how urgency and grind culture are living in your body right now — not as a shame, but as a starting place

  • Build a practice of nourishing yourself first — before the inbox, before the meeting, before the ask

  • Find an anchor in community you can return to every time the world speeds back up

  • Cultivate the sensitivity to receive what only comes in stillness — from your ancestors, from the earth, from your own deep knowing

  • Reclaim your relationship to pleasure, to ease, to your own rhythm
